Principal photography has begun on Chew PunkKah! Productions, "Cure for This." The 8 minute experimental epic is written and directed by Jonathan E. Chua, photographed by An-ju Shih, produced by Brian Uy. The net features Toure Aziz, Karunakaran Sureshkumar, Terria
Josephs, Yooli Chung, Werner Bermeier, and Sanjay Shah. Filming takes place throughtout NYC.
Based on a series of previously unpublished poems by Jonathan E. Chua, "Cure for This" can be described as "ethereal dissonance served over a bowl of shrimp fried rice". "Cure for This" will premiere at Wesleyan University in Middleton, Connecticut on April 22, 2000 and will be streamed over the Internet at www.StudioNEXT.com in late April, 2000.
